Directed by
Martin Brest
One of Martin Brest’s jewels, Scent of a Woman, is an American drama that you should give a go. It tells a comical and classic story of a young man who takes a job as an assistant to an older blind man.
When I notice Al Pacino’s name, I prepare for something intimate and fascinating with a top-notch performance. The Academy Award for Best Actor was well-deserved for this cornerstone of classics.
Here you can find the colonel sitting alone, “ohhaaah”, in his room. He does something out of two; drinking or nursing his self-pity.
The film’s response was mixed from critics, but it was a financial success, earning over $180 million worldwide.
Just for you: After watching this award-winning movie, we invite you to read the original novel. Forget the movie versions… you are about to indulge yourself in something more subtle with a well-rooted study of friendship and blind frustration.
American Gangster (IMDB: 7.8)
Release
2007
Genre
Drama, Crime, Biography
Stars
Denzel Washington, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Josh Brolin, Ruby Dee
Directed by
Ridley Scott
American Gangster is one of the greatest movies in this genre of all time. This movie was nominated for 21 awards, orchestrated by one of the most brilliant actors Oscar-winning, Denzel Washington.
American Gangster is a 2007 biographical crime drama film directed and produced by Ridley Scott and written by Steven Zaillian. The film also stars Russell Crowe in their first on-screen collaboration following the 1995 film Virtuosity.
The story of American Gangster follows Frank Lucas (Washington), a former driver and bodyguard for Bumpy Johnson (Levine). After Johnson’s death, he became one of Harlem’s most powerful crime bosses. Lucas builds an empire by smuggling heroin into the country through returning Vietnam War service members.
But what about the accuracy of this biography? Well, we don’t know precisely what is real and what is the writer’s imagination. Many people had disputes when this movie was released, including Frank Lucas himself, and Drug Enforcement Administration wasn’t happy with how it was depicted. Several low-enforcement people expressed their frustration with the movie’s end.
However, it is definitely worth your time. Don’t expect to see a historical story about one of the most powerful drug dealers in American history. Instead, remember that Hollywood is about entertaining you by giving by dramatic liberty. Hollywood is not responsible for informing you so much. Movies create a beautiful picture of even the worst reality, and American Gangster did a great job in this direction.

Then a member of the CIA comes to Seal to ask him to run guns to Nicaragua to arm the Contras down there. Then many rapid escalating events go that you will be eager to discover more.
American Made is straight up on Tom Cruise, adding a black comedy touch. We all confess there is something special about this guy, and his appearance makes the movie even more appealing. His charismatic and captivating sense and look straight-up run the role beautifully.
His smile is deployed like a weapon against rebels.
It will also let you know how America was directly involved in the unrest in Central America. Finally, it will give you a fresh and broader perspective on this region’s historic and turning point.
Don’t expect to know more about Barry Seal’s character and psychological insights and why he initially accepted the mission, But you will get entertained.

Ex Machina is a kind of movie that lets you be trapped with many questions and speculations.

Ex Machina follows Caleb Smith (Domhnall Gleeson), a programmer at the world’s largest internet company such great like Google. But the movie doesn’t make it quite clear, adding a bounce, thrilling sensation. Caleb is rewarded with spending a week at the secluded home of his reclusive CEO, Nathan Bateman (Oscar Isaac), after winning a contest.
It quickly becomes apparent that Nathan has ulterior motives for inviting Caleb to his home, as he tasks him with conducting a Turing test on Ava (Alicia Vikander), artificial intelligence he created to test the system out.
As Caleb spends more time with Ava, he begins to question whether she is genuinely sentient or not. Also, he grows too attached to this intelligent machine, where the problem arises.
This movie’s best part is how Ava struggles to have the exact human look and traits.

Genre
Comedy, Drama, Fantasy
Stars
Domhnall Gleeson, Rachel McAdams, Bill Nighy
Directed by
Richard Curtis
Another charming movie to watch on Amazon Prime, About Time, is a nice box-office kick that should be on your list.
This film tells the story of Tim, a young man who discovers he has the ability to travel through time. He then uses this power to try and improve his life and the lives of those around him.
And when Domhnall tells his father about his superpower, his reaction is unexpected. It’s something like that, “I know! Don’t be ridiculous; just use this power for your and your family’s sake. So, how can you travel time? Just go into a closed, dark space, just like a cupboard. The only concern is to close your eyes and be focused. Then you can go back to any moment in time.
If you just depend on my narrative, it might seem absurd! However, once you turn on your device to enjoy Domhnall’s accent, charm, and decency, your lopsided heart will push you to indulge in this comfort feast. And your tears can’t help but brim in your eyes.
The film progresses in two ways simultaneously; a romantic, melancholic story and a bittersweet comedy.
We absolutely loved About Time and found it to be one of the most touching and delightful movies we’ve seen in a long time. The acting is terrific, the story is amusing, and it’s just an all-around feel-good film. So if all you want is a pick-me-up or simply want a great movie to watch, we highly recommend checking out About Time.
Oblivion (IMDB: 7.0)
Release
2013
Genre
Action, Adventure, Sci-fi
Stars
Tom Cruise, Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough
Directed by
Joseph Kosinski
When I saw the movie trailer, I guessed it was an adaptation of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, a video game. Yes, it was stupid, but there was something in common. After that, I saw Tom Cruise and realised it might be an excellent justification to go to the cinema on Saturday night.
No need to go anywhere; regardless, you can not see it in any cinema now because you will enjoy watching Amazon prime movies from anywhere.
Oblivion is a gripping tale of humanity’s last stand against an alien invasion. With well-designed visuals and an all-star cast, this is one movie you don’t want to miss.
This movie came after The Edge of Tomorrow, and Cruise already did his fair share of a science-fiction films during this time. So we’ll go for The Edge of Tomorrow if you ask us only to pick the best of all his unrelated series. Still, it’s a shame not to give an honourable mention to a post-apocalyptic action movie, Oblivion.
It was the first cooperation between Cruse and Kosinski, and let’s be honest when these two guys came together, you could expect nothing, yet good things tended to happen.
The more you take your time to digest it, the more you are impressed with the twisty-turny plot. The interest lies in the exploration of new themes with outstanding production design.
If you’re looking for a heart-pounding, unexpected thriller, look no further than Oblivion. The special effects have everything you want to scratch your sci-fi imagination, and the acting is superb, showing off intricate tech with mysterious lore to the global setting.
12 Monkeys (IMDB: 8.0)
Release
1995
Genre
Mystery, Thriller, Sci-fi
Stars
Bruce Willis, Madeleine Stowe, Brad Pitt
Directed by
Terry Gilliam
However, this movie talks about the future you’re in now, but it has a compelling point of view if you still don’t watch it.
The story of 12 Monkeys is a fascinating thriller that will leave you puzzled about this rusty world, grunge pit. This movie makes its way to Amazon Prime and is worth a watch.
I don’t want to give too much away, but the basic premise is that a man named Cole (played by Bruce Willis) is sent back in time to stop a deadly virus or plague from being released. Cole finds himself in an underground shelter where survivors come together and now has a mission to save the planet.
I know it will bring some harsh Covid-19 memories to you, but it is interesting to see how people in 1995 saw the contagion could seem.
The film jumps back and forth between the present day and the future, and we see how Cole’s actions (or lack thereof) have ripple effects that change the course of history.
But why 12 monkeys? Because animals have reclaimed the earth after humanity has vanished.
12 Monkeys is a visually stunning film with great acting by all involved. The plot will keep you guessing and thinking long after the credits have rolled. The production set is phenomenal compared to modest technology in the 1990s, which will put you in a level of insanity, and that’s something Gilliam has always been known for. He is concerned about being perfect, and this movie goes beyond this.
Catherine Called Birdy (IMDB: 6.5)
Release
2022
Genre
Adventure
Stars
Bella Ramsey, Andrew Scott, Joe Alwyn, Paul Kaye
Directed by
Lena Dunham
This tale takes place in the Middle Ages and is based on Karen Cushman’s book of the same name.
The movie was directed to translate its words into a pleasant visualisation with creativity and wit.
It’s about a rebellious 14-age girl, the daughter of a medieval lord. Birdy spends most of her time with her best friend, a goat, shirking her daily chores because she obviously wants to rebel against social norms, just like early marriage and so on.
The whole scene is depicted as something like a sharp stick, a tiny piece of furniture, and a creative location of a non-fiction story.
In any case, you may expect to gain knowledge or insight from this film. It’s a good movie you will enjoy on a weekend night for quality time with your family. It will move you emotionally in some way or shape, blustering with humour and good feeling, especially if you have a 9 girl and want to share something with her. Because, to be honest, it’s a feminist combo.
However, we see that the novel could be an enjoyable read for these genre lovers. And the last thing you need to know is that it will not bring something new to the table. It’s just a way to unplug before going to sleep.
Inside Man (IMDB: 7.6)
Release
2006
Genre
Crime, Drama, Mistery
Stars
Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, Jodie Foster, Willem Dafoe
Directed by
Spike Lee
It starts with a man called Dalton Russell sitting in an identified cell in a highly-secured prison, where he tells and narrates how he has committed one of the most popular and successful robberies.
Inside Man is a movie set in New York City about a gang that uses hostages to rob a bank. They are dressed like painters and use variants of names. The robberies seize control of a Manhattan bank and lead all people inside to different rooms, forcing them to dress in identical painter’s suits.
The robbers rotate the hostages among various rooms and occasionally insert themselves covertly into different groups. At the same time, the criminals are working on a vandalism project to demolish the floor in one of the storage rooms.
Absolutely, police have surrounded the bank, and the detectives try to open a negotiation window with robbers. However, the criminal leader demands food and other necessities, and the police have nothing to do unless obeying his orders, trying to find a way before reaching a deadlock.
The movie is full of suspense and action, and the ending is surprising. If you like suspense films, you should check this one out. It might be an old version of the Netflix blockbuster Money Heist, but with a captivating plot.
Lady Bird (IMDB: 7.4)
Release
2017
Genre
Comedy, Drama
Stars
Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, Laurie Metcalf, Tracy Letts, Lucas Hedges
Directed by
Greta Gerwig
In Gerwig’s movie, Saoirse Ronan, Timothée Chalamet, and Lucas Hedges are tremendous. It’s one of the best movies on Amazon Prime to stream and watch, delivered to your inbox. Intense teenagers’ struggles and blissful romance mask undercurrent feelings.
The story of Lady Bird is an autobiographical coming-of-age tale about a high school senior looking for her place in the world. Gerwig’s film follows Christine “Lady Bird” McPherson (Saoirse Ronan) as she navigates her last year of high school in Sacramento, California, while also dealing with her tumultuous relationship with her mother (Laurie Metcalf).
Lady Bird is a smart, gloriously funny, and moving film that perfectly captures the experience of being a teenager, blinding with a wistful plot. Also, it gives you a hint about the anxiety of separation, growing up and mother-daughter daily fights.
What you can get out of the movie varies considerably based on your perspective of life and how you pass this critical time, or you might still be there.
But we see it as a gentle letter you may send to your hometown that you left years ago— a letter to your passion which you try to open a warm conversion to explore. It could be a letter to your controlling mother as you want some space to unlock your potential and to your dorky and spiky teenager-self as you want some peace.
Ronan is terrific in the lead role, and Metcalf gives an equally impressive performance as Lady Bird’s difficult but loving mother. Gerwig’s direction is impeccable, and the film’s script is an explosive sensation mix filled with wit and insight. In short, Lady Bird is one of the year’s best movies.
Nocturnal Animals (IMDB: 7.5)

Comedy, Thriller
Stars
Amy Adams, Armie Hammer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ellie Bamber
Directed by
Tom Ford
The only reaction that sticks to my mind while watching this movie was, “WOW!” And I could not be excited more to write a review about this outstanding film.
Nocturnal Animals is an American thriller film directed and written by Tom Ford, based on the 1993 novel Tony and Susan by Austin Wright. This pitch-black thriller will make you queasy with regret about nothing you do and tension from a threat you’re away from.
The plot follows an art gallery owner haunted by her ex-husband’s novel, which she interprets as a symbolic story of vengeance and a hidden threat. Three narratives are combined into one, making it hard for you to follow first. But quickly, you can not look any way from the screen. It’s slightly complex.
In the present day, Amy is an artist who receives a manuscript of new work from her ex-husband, played by Gyllenhaal.
Once she starts reading this book, you will get directed to the novel story and see it played out. The third plot displays the flashback to see how Amy and Gyllenhaal initially met. It’s a unique movie with a unique way of telling stories.
Not to mention Ford is a well-known fashion designer, but he has succeeded in showing himself as a pretty good movie director. And this movie is sufficient proof of how Ford outdoes himself as a single man to portray this art.
Nocturnal Animals received generally positive reviews from critics. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 73% based on 248 reviews with an average rating of 7/10. The site’s critical consensus reads: “Nocturnal Animals features strong performances, visual thrills, and a haunting underlying current that should send chills up viewers’ spines.

Beautiful Boy is a heart-wrenching story of a father’s love for his son. Based on the true story of Nic Sheff and his battle with addiction, the movie follows Nic’s descent into addiction and his father’s attempts to save him. Nic tries to cope with a severe drug problem.
Okay, let’s be honest about a sensitive and tricky phenomenon like addition. When you watch something like Breaking Bad that will make you feel empathy for a dangerous drug dealer, you have a simultaneously big obsession with this world, specifically math. So many wondered how this tiny amount of this deadly substance could affect someone’s life and turn it upside down. It just takes one, and everything has changed for the worse.
Beautiful boy story is interesting, sad, and terrifying on how addiction can take your beautiful son from you to the darkest area.
The movie is incredibly moving and powerful. It is a must-see for anyone who has ever struggled with addiction or loved someone who has. However, the biggest highlight of this movie and the reason for mentioning it in this long list is Carell and Chalamet. They unquestionably killed it.
On the other hand, this movie is unarguably pretty messy. Beautiful Boy doesn’t give you a lot if you don’t care about addiction struggles. But because we do, we like it a lot and invite you to give it a try to get flooded by afflicted dad and weak-kneed boy.

Chris Pine is one of the most underrated actors in Hollywood, and that’s why we get super excited to watch him again.
Actually, the performance of both is stellar. You will stay still to focus on how beautiful they are.
If you’re looking for the greatest movies on Amazon Prime for a decent break, then you should look at All the Old Knives.
The only issue with the movie is that you see it should be a limited series. The staff can fill this work and ground with so much suspense to work, and it’d still be polishing.

George Clooney
George Clooney is back, but this time behind the camera.
The Tender Bar is a heartwarming and inspiring story about a young man JR who finds himself in a small town bar, searching for a father he never knew after long years of growing up away from his father.
JR goes with her mother to live at her parent’s home, where her brother, Charlie, becomes the godfather to the little boy. Charlie owns a bar and takes the small kid under his wing to instil some wisdom and guidance in how he should live as a brave and tough guy.
The bar becomes a second home to him, and the people within it become his family.
This memoir shows how these events shaped him into the writer he would eventually become.
Ben Affleck is tremendous in this role. His performance reflects how he effortlessly delivers his message smoothly, playing a sort of every man without faking any emotion or reaction. And that’s enough reason to enjoy this classy state-of-art work. He gives JR all he needs in life, acting like a mentor and surrogate father who guides this little kid through many milestones we all wanted to hear at some point in life. He offers this kind of support and encouragement we all need. That’s why you feel special attached to the movie.
Also, the bar is the school of life; everyone shares his experience in a decent picture that you’d listen to more, even if you see it is a bit antiquated to today’s standards.
The Tender Bar is a beautiful film that will stay with you long after the credits have rolled.

When you just heard James Bond’s mantra, many good memories will attack you.
Why do we love the 007 agent?
James Bond is the epitome of cool. He’s the ultimate spy and always gets the job done no matter the odds. He’s got style, charisma and a sense of humour, and he’s always one step ahead of the competition. That’s why we love James Bond. Or even if there is no justified reason, we will continue to love him.
He jumps, runs, flies, and drives no matter where or when in an unrealistic set. And we still love him.
To be honest, a James Bond movie is always a good reason for celebration, and Spectre was no exception. Spectre’s 24th instalment in the 007 franchise sees Daniel Craig return as the world’s most famous secret agent. It’s the fourth James Bond film. This time, Bond is on the trail of a criminal organisation known as SPECTRE, which may or may not be accountable for several terrorist attacks across Europe.
The movie starts in Mexico City at Día de Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead festival, where things are going to be crazy right off the bat. Then we discover that Bond is here to get to the bottom of a shadowy organisation planning shadowy operations.
The story of Spectre is thrilling and exciting, with plenty of twists and turns to keep audiences guessing. It borrowed these fast-movement cliches from the standard action cinema and amped them up with beautiful locations, world-class shooting, and high-end editing technology.
Not to mention Daniel’s charm and cornier jokes add an exceptional taste to the formula of Spectre.
The result is captivating and fascinating. The action sequences are top-notch, and Craig once again proves that he is the perfect actor to play James Bond. Spectre is a must-see for every James Bond enthusiast or moviegoer in search of a thrilling action flick.

Directed by
Adam McKay
The housing bubble and financial crisis of 2007-2008 are the subjects of The Big Short, a film adaptation of Michael Lewis’s book of the same name. The movie follows the stories of several characters who bet against the housing market and made a fortune when the bubble burst.
The movie is entertaining and informative, but it does not sugarcoat the events of the crisis or the people who caused it. The characters are all fascinating. Just look again at the names of the stars, but some of them are villains. The film does an exceptional job of explaining the complex financial concepts behind the crisis in a way understandable for non-experts.
It’s a true story based on a bunch of finical analysts working on Wall Street, where you can easily see the riveting world of corruption, chaos and misfits. These analysts discover the eventual collapse of the real estate market in the USA in the mid-2000s. The movie depicts how finical figures react to this potential crisis and how they go after big banks for the sake of reaping much money, no matter how it leads to this catastrophic scenario.
They are a bunch of greedy gentlemen. They just want banks to pay for their mistakes.
Even if you don’t have any interest in the matter of the housing market, Adam McKay is doing a great job of reframing the whole crisis to be stunning work.
And don’t expect to watch a movie filled with numbers, buzzwords, and detailed data. No, that’s not what The Big Short is about. Instead, the director and writer have considerably attempted to dumb it down, making it a 2-hour enjoyable scene.
Overall, The Big Short is an excellent movie that tells an important story about one of the biggest financial crises in history. You’ll definitely like it.

David Fincher
The Game is an American mystery thriller film blustering with suspense and unexpected sequence. The story tells an investment banker who is invited to participate in a strange game that blurs the line between reality and fiction.
The Game is a fascinating blend of genres, with elements of our human traits, drama, and even comedy. Michael Douglas gives an outstanding performance as the protagonist, while Sean Penn also shines as the game’s creator. The film is visually stunning, with excellent cinematography and direction.
The Douglas character, Nicholas Van Orton, firmly believes in hard work. He seems to enjoy his life while struggling with his sinking feeling; no one knows anything about it.
However, we don’t think The Game is the best David Fincher movie, but it’s a well-directed thriller and the best Douglas performance. He is very captivating while acting like a dork. He is rude to everyone and disrespectful to his family and business partners.
Even his employees are paralysed because of his strict instructions and business style.
That drives his brother to give him a gift, which will be the game-changing phase in Nicholas’s life. He calls it a CRS company that will make his life funnier. And after he accepts the terms and conditions, his life seems to be a living hell.
What we like about this movie is that Fincher made something special by building a continuous sense of dread, which he used to do in other movies. As the film starts, you feel something is wrong, and you have no idea what it’s exactly.
The ending is particularly satisfying, with a clever twist that ties everything together perfectly. If you enjoy mind-bending films that make you think, then The Game is definitely worth watching.

“We shall fight on the landing grounds. We shall fight in the fields and in the streets. We shall fight in the Hills!”
You have guessed what this movie will tell you.
It’s Oscar time, which means you will watch something that will help you to forget what all you’re going through this week.
When actors or actresses put on a lot of make-up to play historical figures, you should keep your expectation at the lowest level. But it’s not what Darkest Hour is about! Thankfully, it’s an epic picture that you will know more about these terrifying moments in British history and enjoy an unparalleled performance.
You will quickly notice how much efforts Gary Oldman put into this work. Just imagine a Hollywood star plays Winston Churchill; WOW! It’s very bold, indeed!
Darkest Hour is a gripping and heart-wrenching war drama that tells the incredible true story of Churchill’s early tough days as Prime Minister during the Second World War. In Darkest Hour, we see Churchill as he works his way through the British political system, confronts his foes, and rallies the British people in a moment of crisis.
During this time, Britain witnessed a change of power as Neville Chamberlain, former PM, was replaced with one of the most brilliant and pioneer and inspiring leaders in history.
The movie can be a Dunkirk told from Churchill’s point of view. It’s Churchill who is whipping the country up to recognise that they need to do whatever they can to fight the Nazi scourge.
Darkest Hour is an iconic and stirring tale of one man’s resolve to save his country in its darkest hour.
And the end scene! Oh my god, it needs an entirely separate article to cherish this well-detailed and emotion-buzzed shot. I struggle to find the last time I watched a historical drama as electrifying as Darkest Hour. You will absolutely get attached. Watch this movie on Amazon Prime for a good family night 🙂
The Big Lebowski (IMDB: 8.1)
Release
1998
Genre
Comedy, Crime
Stars
Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Julianne Moore, Steve Buscemi
Directed by
Joel Coen
When life gifts you time, take advantage of it by watching this hilarious film. Your day will be much better.
The Big Lebowski is an American crime comedy film directed by Joel and Ethan Coen. Jeff Bridges stars as Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski, an unemployed Los Angeles slacker and avid bowler.
Indeed, each sequence is built upon Lebowski’s attitude. It’s not a story.
The plot follows this amiable Los Angeles loser, who is mistaken for another man with the same name who is then roughed up and has his precious rug peed on. In search of recompense, The Dude tracks down his namesake, who offers him a job to deliver the ransom from a kidnapping.
The movie includes many themes ranging from a porno king, a runaway girl, and a reclusive millionaire.
As the film progresses, you think it has the same hallucinatory level as “Fargo” and “No Country for Old Men”. But you can see more layers to peel back, and all actors’ performances are meant to be a more fantastic commentary on other things. So it goes beyond bowling or lousy porno movies.
Not just that, but you can tell that the movie is about figurative and literal castration! Yeah, it’s! Castration here means the idea of a man feeling as if he is losing his mannish qualities. So instead, he decides to tot himself around bad guys and firemen. His talk becomes more focused on war services as it’s the way of being a man, as we see!
On the other hand, he is still a complement servant to his ex-wife! Oh, it seems too much to be handled. But we promise you something bizarre and bustling with memorable scenes. This comedy has gone from an underground art house film to one of the best cult classics. Watch this movie on Amazon Prime and let’s us your review know in the comments.
Get Out (IMDB: 7.7)

2017
Genre
Horror, Mystery, Thriller
Stars
Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Catherine Keener, Bradley Whitford
Directed by
Jordan Peele
It’s one of the best movies on Amazon Prime; watch it before going away. Get Out is a directional debut of Jordan Peele, who you may know from Key & Peele (A hilarious sketch we invite you to set time aside to explore this fantastic comedy show).
So, we get more excited when hearing about this work by Peele to see how he directed a horror movie. And it was worth watching.
Get Out is told from a unique perspective. We don’t commonly see it in this film genre. Peele proves so much more than you guess about how to run horror scenes that are particularly fun and breathtaking.
We have all loved horror movies since we were kids. But it’s hard to find a good film with fresh ideas. So, when a good one comes along, it gives us chills and tingles; something like, FINALLY, A GOOD HORROR MOVIE! That’s why when you watch the trailer of this movie, it entices us to go directly to the cinema because it showcases a courageous viewpoint.
Even if you don’t need a big fan of this kind of production, Get Out will give you something unusual to think about and inspire you.
The story is about a young black man who visits his white girlfriend’s family estate. It presents an interracial relationship, and her family has no idea about that, making the entire situation awkward for individuals. At first, they seem okay with the idea of letting her daughter marries a black guy. But it’s just for a while. He soon realises that something very sinister is going on and that he may be in danger.
The acting in this movie is top-notch. If you’re looking for a suspenseful thriller of a film, then be sure to check out Get Out.

John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg) is a man whose childhood wish comes true when his teddy bear, Ted (voiced by Seth MacFarlane), comes to life. However, as Ted begins to age, he also begins to act out in ways that John can no longer control; when John’s girlfriend Lori (Mila Kunis) tells him that it’s either her or Ted, John has to decide to change his life forever.
It’s a sweet relationship between an adult and his favourite stuffed bear. We think it’s the funniest movie character since 2012 till this moment. It’s one of the best screenplays you’d love to watch with your kids, nephews or even on your own. It’s a sage of the cutest friendship anyone wish has, including me. I know it seems more wired than to believe, but here we go!
Even the opening scene comes along with the right tone. Expect nothing but laughing a lot from beginning to end. And you will never get over them.
But if you want to know the best part of this movie, I will say Mark. He is so funny, and his reaction to the teddy bear is brilliant.
Ted is a hilarious and heartwarming film that will appeal to adults and children alike. The story is simple but effective, leaving you cracking up with each bit of dialogue, and the characters are memorable and likeable. In addition, the CGI effects are impressively realistic, and the overall production values are high. Take advantage of being offered on Amazon Prime, who knows when it will be removed!

I am not obsessed with the Fast & Furious franchise, but what’s more surprising than the fact that there are seven-part of these that got better!
People behind the scene did a great job of reinvigorating this series.
Just imagine if you are already a fan! You’ll want to check out the seventh instalment. The story picks up after the events of the sixth movie, with Deckard Shaw (played by Jason Statham) seeking revenge on Dom Toretto (played by Vin Diesel) and his team.
While the plot may not be original, the heart-pounding action sequences and thrilling car chases more than make up for it. Fast & Furious 7 is worth watching – just be sure to bring your sense of adrenaline! And what is more, it’s one of the top movies on Amazon Prime. Watch it today.

James McAvoy, Anya Taylor-Joy, Haley Lu Richardson, Jessica Sula
Directed by
M. Night Shyamalan
M. Night Shyamalan’s new movie Split has been getting a lot of buzz and lives up to the hype. Every time he creates a new work, many questions pop up; how does he dazzle us this way? What clues has he built his plot upon?
His movies always take surprising twists or even dreary aberrations. However, his production before Split was disappointing at some point which bore none of his style and signature. That’s one of the reasons why Split creates this furor. It’s like Shyamalan returns to his distinctive form.
The story follows a group of teenage girls who a man with multiple personalities kidnaps. The girls must use their smarts and courage to try to escape before he can hurt them.
There is no big direct twist in this movie; every part is refreshing in itself.
The movie is a surprising sequel to Unbreakable in 2000 and will give you much information about this disorder, Dissociative Identity Disorder. However, it’s also a great reminder that sometimes the smartest thing you can do is just run away. If you’re still scrolling down to spot trendiest movies on Amazon Prime, start with this one.
The Upside (IMDB: 7.0)
Release
2019
Genre
Comedy, Drama
Stars
Kevin Hart, Bryan Cranston, Nicole Kidman, Julianna Margulies
Directed by
Neil Burger
The Upside is a highly anticipated movie that has been making waves since its announcement. The story follows ex-con Dell Scott (Kevin Hart) as he becomes the unlikely caretaker for Phillip Lacasse (Bryan Cranston), a wealthy man who developed quadriplegia after an accident.
It’s a sentimental version or remake of French drama and emotional heartwarmer The Untouchables, based on a true story. However, the original is a perfectly tuned story offering an incredible masterpiece; The Upside is also one of the top movies on Amazon Prime.
While Kevin is entirely unqualified to be a caretaker, Cranston chooses him among other brilliant (or maybe nerd, who knows) candidates. Both have a good dynamic.
All movie stuff has done a great job; we like Bryan Cranston and Nicole Kidman. On the other hand, we want to give props to Kevin Hart because he is usually the clown in the movie, and here it is the same. Hart represents the comedic edge of the film. However, Hart unveils his talented character of being an unemployed and wrecked father.
Bring your popcorn, and you will enjoy watching The Upside this night.

Robert Eggers
The Witch will give you a sense of a connection with the fears that live within us all.
It’s a brilliant horror movie that tells the story of a family in 1630s New England who are dealing with the death of their youngest child. The film is told from the perspective of the eldest daughter, Thomasin. The family blames Thomasin for the child’s death, and they begin to see her as a witch.
However, you will see that there might be a witch that lives out in the woods, causing some severe problems for this family.
This movie explains why we should continue producing horror movies. And it sometimes causes much buzz, such as The Witch. We love horror movies, and while walking out of the theatre, we were more excited because we saw a good one, pumped with terrifying conventions that’s away from any usual clashes.
The movie is suspenseful and creepy and it’s streamed now on Amazon Prime.

Directed by
Quentin Tarantino
Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds is a masterful war film that tells the story of a group of Jewish-American soldiers who are dropped into Nazi-occupied France during World War II. The soldiers, led by Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt), are tasked with causing as much havoc and destruction as possible.
The film is incredibly well-acted and directed and features some of the most memorable scenes in recent memory filled with quixotic delights. However, the stand-out performance is by Christoph Waltz as Colonel Hans Landa, the “Jew Hunter”. Waltz is chilling in the role, and his scenes are the tensest and most gripping in the film.
Each character brings a full-circle story with a surprising plot from the beginning to the end.
Indeed, Inglourious Basterds is an audacious and excellent war film that might annoy some and scare others, but it is not to be missed with tactile pleasure.

Ridley Scott
Gladiator is one of the best movies on Amazon Prime. The story follows a man who was unjustly accused of a crime and sent to fight as a gladiator. The movie is well-crafted to level up the excitement to indulge in this historical era with a grim and overcast mood. He becomes a champion and can seek revenge against the man who wronged him. Unfortunately, the movie looks muddy, shabby, and fizzy, which will make you feel uncomfortable and surprised simultaneously.
This darkness causes a lack of details in long shots. On the other hand, it creates obscure special effects. It looks like a modern version of a computer game, where players bring no cheer. Instead, they are depressed, frustrated, and bitter. It’s an extraordinary saga in Roma long ago, but you will feel it right now, no matter where you are.

Written by Pixar’s hit Soul, One Night in Miami is a powerful and thought-provoking movie.
The story tells the narrative of what could have happened if four icons of the Civil Rights Movement – Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali or Cassius Clay, Jim Brown, and Sam Cooke – met up in a modest hotel room after one of Ali’s fights in 1964.
It’s one of Amazon Prime’s original movies that take you through a significant time in American history when rage rises among black Americans, and everyone casts his gaze against what they face on a daily base.
All four are righteous, unapologetic, black and famous.
The film explores the topics of race, religion, and politics through the eyes of these four men, and it’s definitely worth watching.
This meeting occurs after Ali has been rewarded as the world’s heavyweight boxing champion. And actually, this meeting is to celebrate Ali’s win, but it turns out to be a heated debate.

What is life about? Yes, that’s a repeatedly-asked question that will be brought up once you choose this emotionally-boomed movie. It presents the fragility of our daily existence.
The movie has been captured as a masterpiece picture flooded with empathy. Also, it will bring Riz Ahmed to any producer casting list to showcase his excellence.
Ahmed is a model of restraint with effective performance who chooses to go for low-key choices instead of being controlled by his emotions. All this experience is powered by the genuine talent that tugs at your heartstrings.
With his body language and even silence, you will feel that every single tangible or intangible chart his unbelievable character.
The film Sound of Metal tells the story of a metal drummer who begins to lose his hearing. As his hearing deteriorates, he must grapple with the decision to continue making music or to give it up altogether.

There must be days when you want to see something as light as Just Like Heaven or La La Land. But, sometimes, there is no room for the Imitation Game or this genre of every series story.
And when it comes to romance and time loops, it would be ironic. The recurrence of events and recreating the same emotional beats are ridiculous and sometimes hilarious. Many movies have covered this topic.
That doesn’t make this movie unique, but it’s one of the movies on Amazon Prime you don’t want to miss on your weekend or special gathering when there is no need for much focus.

Die Another Day, the twentieth movie in the James Bond series, was released in 2002. The movie’s story is set in motion when Bond is betrayed by his friend, MI6 agent Gareth Mallory. That leads to Bond’s capture and imprisonment by North Korean forces. Even though Bond is released in a prisoner swap after being held captive for 14 months and tortured, he sets out to track down Mallory and get revenge.
While Die Another Day is full of the usual James Bond action and adventure, it also has a more personal story, making it one of the best entries in the series.
And to be honest, after 10 minutes into this movie, I accept Pierce Brosnan as James Bond without conjuring up the picture of Sean Connery. This movie is considered a new era of James Bond’s epic franchise. Brosnan is now a landlord, not a tenant.
With his Irish accent curling upon his preposterous English character, Brosnan’s handsome could be slightly weary.
Die Another Day is the 20th James Bond film in the last 40 years. And throughout these years, many things have changed, but the original stunts are still the same.
Bond’s girl Jinx is not just a decoration or a reward that sets this film apart. Instead, it’s a heroine that turns the movie sometimes for her sake.

While we love movies no matter their genres, there are a few ones I can generally have on repeat every week. Interstellar is one such film. The Mask is another (yes, the green mask guy, and don’t ask why!) And this one, The Holiday, is an unlikely entry into my repeat watchlist.
The Holiday is a heartwarming movie about two women who swap homes for the holidays and find new love. The story is charming and funny, and the cast is terrific, especially Kate (Oh, I love her — her voice, reaction, and every gesture comes along). Watching this film will make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
